The Sand Hollow Golf Course is set in beautiful Heritage Valley, Nevada, and is one of Sand Hollow’s best courses. It was built by renowned designer Norm Abram, who designed courses for both the PGA Tour and the LPGA. The Sand Hollow Golf Course experience offers 18 holes of premium championship golf and a strollable nine-hole greens-style course inspired by the great early days of the sport. The golf course has opened in the fall of 2008.
In playing conditions this Links Course is more challenging than other Sand Hollow golf courses. There are obstacles on the links course which test the golfer’s skills. Two water hazards have been placed on the left and right side of the putting and chipping greens. This requires players to use different body parts to hit the ball correctly. The greens offer varying playing conditions based on the time of day.
This links course was designed for players who prefer a challenging golfing experience, yet find the beauty of Sand Hollow. The eighteen-hole championship course includes a spectacular scenery that will truly help you to relax and enjoy your stay at the sand hollow golf course. The course offers two different public tee areas, one which is located near the River’s edge. The other tee area is located close to the river.
As you play through the course, you will notice that the greens are in various shades of blue, featuring creeks and rocks that help make the greens appear to be pebbled. The holes are constructed in such a way that each one includes multiple water drops, many of which will be challenging for young and old players alike. Each tee shot is designed with difficulty in mind. On most greens, the short range shots will feature steep angles and large chunks of sand. The longer range shots, while not as difficult, will feature a gentle slope and will be accompanied by several water drops. If you are looking for a challenging game, the sand golf course has it!
